(See last month’s winners at the bottom of this post along with their beautiful projects!)

Good Morning! Happy February! Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful day! It’s cold up here in the midwest and if you are experiencing this same kind of cold, it’s the perfect day to stay inside and join us for our February Monthly Mix Challenge.

This month’s challenge hostess is Karen Hightower.

From Karen:

Hi Everyone and Welcome to our February Monthly Mix Challenge “Color Of The Year” I have been trying to decide on a Challenge for this month, & I really Love the New Pantone Color of the Year.

It just happens to be One of My Favorite Colors, besides Turquoise!

The New Color is a Coral color… and Gina K. Designs has a Beautiful Coral Reef Color that I just can’t get enough of. So I’m sure you have guessed the Challenge for February…. It is to use Coral. (If you don’t have Coral Reef you can use Peach Bellini or any Orange)

You can have other colors with it, but I really want to see that Coral as the Main Color.

Oh, and there is a little twist!  You will have to decorate the inside. When you take a photo, make sure we can see a bit of the inside.  I am looking forward to the beautiful color and the peek of the inside of your card in the gallery.

Here is my card I made for the Challenge!

I did a little Emboss Resist on this card.

Supplies used:

Stamp Set – Love Is All You Need for the small greeting

Background Stamp – Elegant Script

Die – You

Large Single Stitched and Small Double Stitched Square Dies

Pure Luxury Card Stock – Black Onyx, White Layering Weight and Base Weight, Coral Reef (Inside)

Premium Dye Ink – Coral Reef & Black Onyx

Adhesive Dot Runner, Connect Glue and Foam Squares

Twine & Bling

Now it is your turn to create using Coral as your main Color and share a peek of the inside!  🙂

New this Year – We will have THREE winners of $25 gift certificates each!  The deadline for your entry is February 28th the and winners of this challenge will be announced on March 1st!  Have fun and Happy Stamping!

Congratulations to all the winners! Such pretty cards. I was wondering how you did your background, Dana. I might try it myself.

I uploaded a photo to the February Monthly Mix Challenge “Color Of The Year” but I couldn’t get the inside in the same photo. Should I upload a photo of the inside? This is the first time I have participated in a Challenge and I’m not sure what I am doing!

Also, I never saw a place to list the materials I used so here goes.

GK cardstock – Sweet Mango, Dark Chocolate
GK patterned paper – “Journey of the Heart”
Nuvo Crystal Drops – “Autumn Red”
    GK Cherry Red inkepad
    Heart stamps (unknown source)
Sizzis dies – “live”, “laugh” and “love”

    Thank you,

I’m so happy to have found that you have a monthly challenge! I love your products! I wondered how on earth I didn’t know this as I am crazy for challenges. And I realized I’m not subscribed to your blog! But I don’t see anywhere to do that. I may be totally missing it! Will you point me to where I can subscribe so I never miss a post or challenge announcement? Thanks! 🙂
