Partners: Gina K. Designs and Hero Arts + a Giveaway!

Welcome back!

Today is quite an exciting day today because we are celebrating Hero Arts 45th year with a very special partnership stamp set along with a blog hop and giveaway!

Hero Arts is the reason so many of us stamp. In fact some of my first stamps were Hero Arts wood mounted stamps! They are also the reason many of us in the industry have thriving businesses. Aaron, the CEO of Hero Arts is known for helping his “competition” become more successful. He’s been a great mentor and a kind friend to me and I am so honored to know him, his wife Laura, and his incredible team!

This month, Gina K. Designs has partnered with Hero Arts to release this HUGE 6″ X 8″ floral stamp set called Friendship Blooms. The flower in this set is bigger than an A2 card front which allows you to use it as a corner piece, a long strip down the side or diagonally across the whole card front. It also includes a variety of friendship greetings. (This is my favorite kind of card to make. I love sending cards, just because!)

One thing I love about these huge floral images is that you can make your card as simple or as complicated as you want. If you are an avid coloring fan, you can spend tons of time shading and blending Copics, colored pencils and watercolors over this image. If you enjoy making quicker card, you can emboss, stamp in color or do the technique in my latest video!

In my card, I embossed the image with Gina K. Designs Embossing and WaterMark Ink and then used fine detail white embossing powder over the entire image. Once I heat set the powder, I used household bleach to bleach out the flowers. Then, I shaded them with Prismacolor Pencils The colors I used were Crimson Lake and Lime Peel.
