Kiss me Once, Kiss me Twice and Make a Difference
Saturday, September 21, 2019 38Good morning and welcome back!
Today, I have a very special video for you. In this video, I’m going to show you a stamping technique that you may have seen before, but this time, I’ve added a little twist to it and I’m calling it, “Kiss me Once, Kiss me Twice.”
But that’s not what makes this video special. The stamp set that I used to create these cards is a very special stamp set because it was designed to help raise money for disaster relief for the Bahamas.
As the news came in about the total devastation in the Bahamas, one of my best friends, Jennifer McGuire and I were texting back and forth feeling absolutely helpless. We knew that the people of the Bahamas were stuck. These weren’t the wealthy people who could jump on a plane and take off. These were the local people who didn’t have much to begin with. Their homes weren’t hurricane sturdy and they didn’t have money to leave. Just about everyone lost everything and worse, many lost their lives.
Jennifer and I wanted to do something to help, so we came up with a concept for a stamp set that not only featured beautiful, tropical images, but also captured Jennifer’s essence and heart by including words and greetings that will help you share handmade kindness.
Introducing Love and Kindness
This set is available as a stamp set only or a stamp and die bundle and 100% of the net profits are going to the Global Empowerment Mission. This group is already there helping and making a difference.
The short-term goal of this organization is to empower people struck with tragedy by providing emergency aid, cash cards, food and housing. And long-term, GEM provides quality education, diverse vocational training and job creation to people in third world countries such as Haiti. The objective is for people in developing countries to have a self-sufficient and sustainable economy, ultimately eliminating their dependency on foreign aid. Learn more about them down at the end of this post.
Crafter’s have the biggest hearts! And your purchase of this set is a win-win. You get to help make a difference and you get fun new stamps and dies!
