Welcome back to another Gina K. Designs challenge! This month, our Challenge Hostess is Rema DeLeeuw and she has a great challenge for you!
Hello everyone and welcome! This month I am challenging you to create a card or project using the Color Blocking Technique. If you are not familiar with this technique, color blocking is when two or more contrasting or complimentary areas of color are added to your card or project. You can do this with masking off areas of your cardstock and ink blending, applying ink to your stamp block and stamping directly onto your card panel or simply just cut out strips of different colored card stock. There are many ways to do this and I only named a few.
For my card today I have chosen to mask off areas of my panel with Gina K. Designs 1/8″ Terrific Tape and ink blending the areas with several different Electro Pop Neon Inks for a bright and bold look. Next, I carefully removed the tape, added my die cut images from the newly released Bloomin’ Wild stamp set and stamped a sentiment from Thankful Leaves. A rhinestone was adhered to the center of the flower. I hope you will play along in this month’s challenge!
I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration and will play along with us! We will have THREE winners of a $25 gift certificate each. Be sure to load your entry into the challenge. You have until October 31st to enter and the winners will be announced on November1st.
