June 2022 Monthly Mix Challenge

12

Welcome back to another Gina K. Designs challenge! This month, Judy Woodland is your challenge hostess and she has a fun challenge for you!

From Judy:

I have been a fan of Gina’s for so many years I have lost count. She is the one who inspired me to get into card making and I have never looked back. I have made many, many wonderful friends because of Stamp TV and Gina K Designs. Thank you, Gina! And thank you for the opportunity to host the June Monthly Mix Challenge!!
The name of my challenge is CHANNELING GINA. I am inviting you to chose one of Gina’s videos and make it your own. Put your own twist on it, but keep the technique or design that she has featured in her video. The link to her videos is HERE (insert link to videos – see below). The video I chose to use is HERE (insert link to colored pencil on kraft – see below). It is called Colored Pencils on Kraft Card Stock.
I chose to use Innocent Pink Card Stock instead of Kraft, and I hand stamped the floral spray by using Masking Magic and images from Arjita’s and Lisa’s stamp sets. I colored the resulting image with my Prisma Colors and Gamsol, highlighting it with my white gel pen, and fussy cutting it out. Then I mounted it on a piece of White Heavy Weight Card Stock, which I scored to create a lattice look. The die cut HELLO from the A Little Hello Layering Stencil Bundle, along with a vellum die cut silhouette behind, finished off the piece. This is a 5×7 card.
The Supplies I Used:
GKD Heavy White, Black Onyx and Innocent Pink Card Stock
GKD Obsidian Amalgam Ink
GKD Masking Magic
GKD Bloomin’ Wild Stamp Set
GKD Grateful Spray Stamp Set
GKD Count It All Joy Stamp Set
GKD A Little Hello Layering Stencil Bundle
Master Layouts 8 Die Set
Prisma Color Pencils with Gamsol

Hi there – These are really beautiful cards and I just discovered the Challenge section – very inspiring! I’d like to participate but could you give better directions on how to participate and upload a card photo? There is no guidance now. Thank you!

You can use an air hockey paddle from Amazon. We are in the process of creating one that is similar to mine. My friend made it for me and you can make one yourself using a curtain finial, a furniture protector pad and some glue. The glue I use is Gina K. Designs Connect Glue.

It’s called the Misti and you can watch me use it in almost all of my videos. 🙂 It allows for even pressure and you can restamp and it’s perfect every time!
